Notice: Smoke Testing week starting 7/26th

Updated: Jul 19

The Upper Montgomery Joint Authority will be conducting smoke testing in Red Hill Borough beginning the week of July 26th. Rain or wind may postpone the testing until the next business day. A "smoke test" survey will assist our inspection crews in locating breaks and defects in our sewer system. The smoke you see coming from the vent stacks on houses or holes in the ground is Non-Toxic, Non-Staining, has no odor, will be white or gray in color and will create no fire hazard. The smoke should not enter your home unless you have defective plumbing or dried up drain traps. It is advisable to pour a gallon of water into each drain, sink, shower, and tub.

Please see the attached map which details the areas in which testing will occur. Day 1 of testing will will occur in the area highlighted in green.

Day 2 of smoke testing will occur in the area highlighted in orange. Day 3 of smoke testing will occur in the area highlighted in blue.
